GigMeUp processes your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
## What we collect
Name, email, phone number, profile content (bio, media), location, payment information (via our payment provider), booking history, message content, IP/UA on sign-in and signing.
## Why we process it
- To run the marketplace (matching, booking, contracts, payment, payouts).
- To prevent fraud and enforce off-platform rules.
- To comply with tax and accounting obligations.
- To send transactional notifications about your account and bookings.
## Sharing
We share data with our payment providers (Paystack and/or Stripe), email provider (Postmark), SMS provider (Twilio), error tracker (Sentry), and AI provider (Anthropic) — strictly to deliver the service.
## Your rights
You may access (`/account/data`), correct, or request deletion of your data. We retain financial records as required by law with PII severed.
